8843 Guest Teachers (Atithi Shikshak) to be recruited in Uttarakhand Schools
Uttarakhand Government has cleared the way for the appointment of Guest
Teachers (Atithi Shikshak) in schools in the state. In the first stage total
8843 Assistant Teachers LT and Lecturer vacancies are schedule to be filled.
The government will follow this method of appointments for the vacating posts
till the end of 2016. There will be total 16760 vacant posts at the end of
2016.
On 25 Sept Mantri Prasad Naithani, Education Minister of Uttarakhand
approve the appointments order of Guest Teachers by Directorate of School
Education. Mr. Chandra Singh Gwal, Education Director told that the advantage
of Guest Teachers will be mostly for the schools of far flung areas. This will
open employability option for more than 80 thousand BEd candidates in the
state.
Guest Teacher & Lecturer (Atithi Shikshak) Selection Procedure – How
Guest Teacher will be selected ?
The selection will be based on the merit based. The merit will be prepared
a District level committee as per Eligibility and Experience of the candidates
in each District. The Committee will be headed by DM along with five other
members . The Committee will have Chied Education Officer, CDO, DEO, DIET
Principal and an Officer of SC/ST.
Salary of Guest Teachers – Pay or Stipend of Guest Teachers
For LT - Rs 100/- per period. Maximum Rs 10000/- per month
For Lecturer - Rs 125/- per period. Maximum Rs 10000/- per month

2794 BEd TETs to get Primary Teacher Appointment letter till 30 Sep-14
Uttarakhand Education Department will issue appointment letter to the
selected 2794 BEd-TET candidates (on year-wise merit) till 30 September 2014.
After direct orders from Hon. High Court for the appointment of teachers in
Primary schools, Basic Education Department has completed all work regarding
appointments.
Director of Primary Education R K Kunwar told to issue appointment letter
till 30 Sep as after that NCTE will disqualified BEd degree for primary school
teachers. Till 30 September. appointment letters will be provided to all 2794
candidates selected through merit.
